The 15-minute trip to the rapids by flat-bottomed jet boat includes a fun history lesson—told via bullhorn. Soon you’re riding the Lachine Rapids—the same rapids explorer Samuel de Champlain had a difficult time navigating 400 years ago during the summer of 1608. The boat tackles the rapids in complete safety. But be prepared—you’re in for a giddy soaking. It’s a pricey tourist show that’s worth the adventure. Reservations a must. Bring a change of clothes and sunscreen.
